★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great rock climbing on a summers evening. Can get quite crowded, however the bolts are in good condition and are maintained. Local schools often climb here on there outdoor ed courses. Great place to send a few climbs then head to Port Chalmers for a beer!

We visited with our dog on an autumn day and meet other beach walkers, family groups including rock climbers and such an amazing collection of shells on the sands showing a healthy biosphere beneath the waves. Well be back, would be a great place to swim in the summer! The cave at the end of the beach was pretty cool too

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely long beach. Found some lovely sea shells, but forgot to take photos. Nice streamby the beach. Sand beautiful coloured and my grandson loved the playground.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful beach especially in the evening. Went there in December, almost no people. It's just really windy there, so take something warm with you. There are also many places to climb, so if you're into it, definitely take your climbing shoes with you.
There is also a playground for kids. Easy access from carpark.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Dunedin's glorious, long, open, sandy beaches. Wonderful walks, with a big cave at the North end, lots of cliffs for the climbers, and safe swimming all year round. Backed by a tidy domain cared for by a thriving little beach community.
