About Macau Bar Kitchen & Lounge
Our new exotic Lounge bar is now open Friday and Saturday. Serving cocktails, wine and beer paired with our Asian fusion menu and stunning water views. We provide the perfect location for the gathering of friends, business meeting or a pre-dinner drink before dining in our award winning restaurant downstairs.
To assist us with COVID-19 distancing measures we will now be serving our main Restaurant menu upstairs at Macau Lounge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I chose this restaurant for my husband and I to try because of hype I had heard about it. We were really looking forward to Chinese dining. Alas, we were both really disappointed on a few elements. Firstly, the table we were given was in the middle of surrounding tables and the night felt like we were in the road. The waitress twice knocked into furniture. Far too cramped. The waitress also advised because of large lunch groups they had run out of stock for some dishes! That is bad form. Our cocktails, Tokyo Ice Tea were like mocktails. I could not taste any alcohol content. Very disappointing especially that they were $20 each. My husband ordered the pork which when the plate came out had very few pieces of pork on it. He did say it was very tender but lacked taste. I ordered the Green Curry and a bowl of rice. Rice was over cooked and the curry was in no way of the standard I have had in other restaurants. The chicken to me, appeared to be from leftover cuts and there were minimal pieces within the dish. All in all, it appeared to me, there were cost cuttings being done which impacted on our experience. We were left feeling very let down.

Lamb shoulder very disappointing first attempt was 90% noodles and way too much cumin. So complained and they replaced dish .
Second attempt (replacement dish) was horrible, so overseasoned with a strong unpleasant after taste .
Joanna waitress was very professional well done

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such and amazing place! We dined in for valentines, everything was so nice, the drinks, the food, the heart shape chocolate on our plates but nothing beats Jack! Such awesome service, as hospo workers we know when someone is giving their best to the customers! Thank you so much for this great night

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just gets better and better! It's been some time since we've eaten here and tonight did not disappoint. Tempura eggplant (a total winner) ginger and prawn dumplings and spring rolls an absolute delight for a shared starter. My main was beef cheeks and noodles... Yummy! My dad had the duck pancakes which were also delicious. We finished off the dinner with a creme caramel. Absolutely mouth wateringly good and excellent service. Well worth a trip into town.
