★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The main wharf of Akaroa is a lovely place to walk when you are in Akaroa. There are gift shops, where you can buy souvenirs for loved ones. The Paua shop stocks all sorts of jewelry, and other materials made from the shell of Paua. You can also book a ride on the cruise boats, or a swim with the dolphins. Treat yourself to some seafood and enjoy the breeze on one of the benches on the pier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This here is a magical place worthy of many sketches. Relax and let your imagination station take you on a journey through Hayao Miyazaki's beautifully painted stories, or invoke the writing of Ursula K Le Guin and other port side poets and novelists. There is plenty of inspiration all around. Just watch out for all the other tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot in Akaroa. Especially with good weather a great foto opportunity, but the whole boardwalk is very nice! Public toilet nearby, black cat harbour cruise and jewellery shop. Close to some nice bars/cafes, souvenir shop and pharmacy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place! Water looks nice and so the buildings. Though really small town (?) as you can just walk or so. However, I wish they would put fast food such as pizza hut/domino or subway at least for those people who can't afford resraurants. Or maybe there are cheap places to eat there but I just didn't have a good look around or that they were close when we get there. Above all, it's cool place to visit ?
