β β β β β Place was empty at 4:30pm on a Sunday when we arrived, yet couldnβt get a table as we hadnβt booked. We were there only for a quick pizza and a drink but the waitress never asked what we were after. We could see the reservation signs on tables and they were not booked till 6 or 7pm. We ate somewhere else and walked back past at 6pm on our way home and the place was still empty. Missed out on an easy tab. This wasnβt the first time we have experienced this so we wonβt be back. Very poor service indeed.

β β β β β Came here for an early lunch today, the staff were very welcoming and friendly! The cheese scones are out of this world, the rest of the table had the salmon quiche and eggs benne which were all A++
Coffee was beautiful and tasted great! One of the few places open on a Monday - we will definitely be back!

β β β β β Kind of disappointed in the service, food and drinks. A LLB is quite simple to make and the ones we were served were awful and very expensive for what they are (personally think sticking to the traditional recipe is always best). The pizza margarita was good but would be better with fresh basil. The garlic cheese one didnβt have a garlic flavour at all. Service was great from the girl who looked after us but hearing the bar complain about our concerns about the LLB was not very professional. Also a shame to see that behind bar masks are not worn by staff.

β β β β β We were here in March for the mussel pots and calamari which were absolutely delicious! Great service too β¦ if youβre passing through definitely stop for some kaimoana ?

β β β β β A small cafe situated on the road through to the coromandel, and while being the only sensible establishment open for late lunch, it was not too busy.
Having both indoor and covered outdoor seating, this cafe has a cozy enclosed feel to it.
Although not being particularly complex, the menu and food are catered to a sufficient range of tastes and preferences. If you are lucky enough to come during seasonal hours, they additionally offer wood fried pizza, which I personally highly recommend.
Overall a very respectable and delicious cafe

β β β β β My partner and I went on Sunday from Anzac weekend, it was quite busy but the service was disappointing, we almost had to beg for someone to come and take our order. And after 15 min waiting they came and said they didn't have the items of the menu we went there for. Even so we decided to give it a try and luckily the food was good to our taste: the truffle fries are great and can easily serve four or more people, the prawn linguine is quite spicy, and the lamb is very tasty. Unfortunately the overall experience was negative and it's very unlikely we will return.

β β β β β They are usually busy during summer due to shortage of staff. Recommend calling in early and do pizza takeaways instead unless you donβt mind the wait ! Pizzas were pretty good !

β β β β β Did not ask to see our vac pass. We had fish and chips. 1/2 hour wait. Bit too much raw onion in the salad. Coffee was average. Waitress was very good tho.
