We couldn't have had a better experience to farewell our mother.
Martha-Louise was absolutely amazing. Well organised, accommodated our particular requests and was warm and sensitive.
We are very grateful that we chose them.
Their cost was really reasonable.

β β β β β I cannot speak too highly of Martha-Louise. She is so caring, helpful, and efficient. She made all the difference at a difficult time. When my husband died and we had to arrange his funeral, Martha-Louise made this time as easy as possible. She ensured that I knew what had to be done and she organised everything so quietly and competently that it seemed effortless. She has a great team too - the caterers were outstanding, the printer excellent.
She never made us feel pressurised or rushed. In other words, she was just wonderful!

She managed to find the perfect balance between supporting my decisions, and providing guidance when needed. Everything she said and did in my dealings with her were just right for what was needed, which is so important at this time.

β β β β β From the moment Mum passed until our final goodbye, Martha-Louise gently guided and supported us every step of the way. It wasn't only Mum in her capable hands - Jen, Jane, and I felt we were too. Our first experience of a 'green funeral' (ie no embalming, etc) was extraordinarily special and memorable. Mum was so well cared for - respected and honoured. Martha-Louise is expert, and Mum looked beautiful.
Subsequent to, and as direct result of our engagement with Martha-Louise, we have all made the choice to 'go green' ourselves when our time comes.
Martha-Louise is unique amongst those we cherish - wise, authentic, compassionate, empathetic.

β β β β β My late husband was a true perfectionist who wouldn't simply give a thumbs up unless it was truly deserved. Saying that, I guess Martha-Louise is among those who has got not only one but two thumbs up from my husband for her through attention to details, professionalism, and the way she arranged and managed his funeral in such a short space of time. Knowing my husband too well, sometimes I think it was him who actually made us to choose Martha-Louise when we were looking for a perfect funeral director because he knew sheβs capable of doing a remarkable job and wonβt make him disappointed.
None of my family members had experienced handling a funeral before. Martha-Louise patiently listened, guided and delivered the best we could have asked for. She was understanding, kind, supportive, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much Martha-Louise for taking care of our precious one and the fantastic farewell you planned.

She made an instant connection with our family and we felt at ease from the very beginning as she helped guide us through each decision in a respectful manner. We couldn't have picked a better funeral director for my late father-in-law, who was a person of great detail. She took fantastic care of him and catered to his last wishes to give him the perfect send off he so well deserved.
Equally, Martha-Louise was there to support our family throughout and helped take the stress out of a difficult situation. We will always be grateful for the genuine care, respect and compassion that you have shown our family. Thank you!

β β β β β I had previously attended a service at Manning Funeral Cottage. The memory of this lovely service was what made me look up Manning Funerals. I was not disappointed. Martha-Louise was friendly, genuine, kind and caring at a time of sorrow. She took the time to listen and learn about my aunt. She guided us through the process, and facilitated the organisation of a small intimate service in short time frame that we were very happy with. The order of service pamphlet was high quality and a lovely artefact to keep. The flowers were beautiful and the catering great too.
Highly recommend.
