★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little story deserves 5 stars! It is not every day that a stranger helps out in a time of need, goes above and beyond and expects nothing in return! Big shout out to Alan Pound from Sibuns! My mother passed away in July in Germany this year and I was unable to travel to be with her or for her memorial service. The funeral director in Germany arranged for her ashes to be sent to NZ. When they arrived here, NZ Post informed me that they were unable to deliver the parcel to me from Auckland to Christchurch. It was an anxious time for me to find an alternative to get them send that last little bit of their long journey. When asked, Alan offered immediately his help. I was able to get the ashes delivered to Sibuns. I was very touched when Alan informed me that he repackaged the parcel because he found the packaging had suffered. And then he send it on to me. Just like that! Thank you!
