★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible collection of animals from all the over the world - definitely one of the best I have ever seen of this type. The owner is also enthusiastic and knows the history of his possessions well. The only downside to me is that all of it is cramped into a small shed, making it easy to miss things, as well as being slightly tiresome (since you have to stand in one place for so long). Nonetheless, well worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of NZ's greatest attractions!! Through the gate and behind the door of an innocuous looking shed is the most amazing collection of stuffed animals, and a man called John who will take all the time in the world to tell you about them and barely stop for a breath in the process. Short of a penguin, giraffe and elephant there wasn't much we couldn't see, and maybe that's just because the place is absolutely packed to the rafters. Well worth the visit: my girls loved it as much as I did.
No EFTPOS as of April 22 so take some cash with you.
