About Matamata Library
With the continued growth of te reo Māori learners there is a need to make it easier to find te reo Māori resources. This site aims to develop a repository to support those teaching and learning te reo Māori to search for and access relevant content, tools and resources. They are still in the early stages of development and more features and content will be coming soon.

Great free Wi-fi service. 4 free computers with internet bookable for 30 minutes of use - can get busy at times. 3 chair/table spaces with power nearby for own laptop use or recharging, which can also be in high demand some times. Popular with travellers and locals. Has a weekly 1/2 hr music session for toddlers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Library! Limited work stations. . . Not great for a quite place though....very noisy. The librarians yell across the room constantly to each other. Also 11 year old children unsupervised are left for hours on computers to yell and move the equipment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ladies that work there are extremely helpful and I was having problems with working their computer. The actual problem was me. Kept pushing the wrong button. Everytime I growled and expressed strong language they were very understanding. Go there, a lovely place and good people.
