★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely beach, car park usually full as it’s so popular, there is self contained Campervan parking overnight, but best to check with council beforehand as they do lock the gate if the ground is unsuitable/wet. The beach however is very safe for swimming being sheltered, there are good clean toilets and changing rooms too, plus some nice forest walks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful stretch of beach, with good public facilities in place. Appears very clean and well-maintained. The crowds look like a heavy mix of locals and road-trippers, and this beach was heaving with people when we went! Compared to other beaches there's lots of grassy area to sit back on and picnic after a good swim.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Matheson Bay is just postcard pretty! It has a big beach, an elevated walkway with amazing views, ablution facilities, a playground for the kids, and a place to hire canoes (not at the moment, because of lockdown). It's a lovely way to spend the day with the family or friends
