★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A walk beside the Mahurangi river beside the township leads to a small waterfall. This is a short walk with limited spots for sitting, but easily managed by most people as it is mostly a boardwalk with only a few steps near each entrance. A pleasant amount of shade can be enjoyed in summer but the road noise from the highway is a bit of a distraction
