★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst mcdonald that i’ve been to..the drive through omg they just throw everything in and the sauce was not even in the burger and its not a one time mistake but multiple times which is so disgusting..one time I’ve ordered a big mac and they gave me a hash brown burger instead and the hash brown wasnt a whole one but its like a left over one..burger king is way better

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upper Hutt drive thru not even deserving of the one star but only option available to provide a review. Ordered food and person at the window said to park up in the second bay. I advised that my car won’t fit and will block the cars behind and asked to park in the car park however no car park available so no choice but to wait at the window. Few seconds later can hear big guy in grey shirt say they don’t want to park up??!! Anyways a minute later 1st bay eventually became available and I said will move my car and wait there not realising it was going to take almost 20mins for my small order and all 12 other cars behind me receive their orders and leave!!! From this I knew it was intentional and stormed in asking what the hold up was! No apologies or proper excuse just still cooking my one burger!!! Word of advice to the girl working at the drive thru window and the two gents wearing the grey shirts (one supposedly the manager) working between 5:30pm to 6:00pm on 11/05/22, either get some training to learn all about customer service or leave Maccas you obviously are not equipped for the role! Would not recommend Upper Hutt Maccas due to poor service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No attention to presentation. Burgers always just thrown together with no real regard to the customer and the fact they paid good money for the slop. Really need to invest in passionate staff that care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just now I went into the Upper Hutt branch to buy a $29 classic share box and a 6pc chicken nugget happy meal. It was not busy at all, quiet day today. I got my order, of course I didn’t double check because i would assume everything is there because it wasn’t busy at all. I walked off to go to the car, drove home and to open the bag of chips (as the girl said one bag has just chips inside) only to see that there were only 3 chips in there when it was supposed to be 4. How annoying it was to see that because we just got home and we’re not about to drive back for it. It’s a simple order, why can’t your staff read the receipts properly and double check everything before handling to the customer. Clearly needs more training. And like I said, it was not busy at all. Around just after 1pm 14th June 2022 when this happened. It’s happened so many times too even through drive thru. We pay our money before we get our food, so why can’t you make sure we have everything we ordered in the take away bags if you know it’s take away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service crew in the ordering area (she has pink nails) told us that McDonald's is not doing steam buns anymore. Well, just have a steam bun in Masterton a couple of hours later. Please educate your crew. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the staff are good and am happy with the food (McDonalds, Upper Hutt) I was horrified when we were told to park in the disabled car park while waiting for our order. They said they always did that. We tried to explain disabled means disabled and I found this very disrespectful to disabled people. There are few enough parks as it is. They also have to pay to use those parks.
