β β β β β Worst clinic in Auckland. I told the receptionist I was having severe pain over five hours.... she still asked me to wait for another five hour before seeing the doctor... I am feeling I am gonna die. The nurse give me some painkiller but it does not work...
It is so weird that only a few patient in the waiting area but it still take over an hour for the doctor to see one patient each time...
They did not care your death or not

β β β β β 6am call prior to visit as a non patient for medical to seek a GP Dr for my son and, Receptionist on shift this time 2.10.21 was very nice and helpful on the phone. Although we scanned in at 6am and waited for almst an hr and 30mns before being seen by Nurse; then we had to wait for Dr who started his shift at 8am, I was starting to get impatient looking at patients entering and exiting the hospital while we waited UNTIL, the lovely considerate nurse Ebony on shift saw us waiting popped over and apologised for the long wait explaining the situation ? That made me feel at ease knowing, someone acknowledged the fact we entered and waited patiently from 6am. Dr S Ekdahl who started at 8am was helpful advising my son to get tested for covid 19 THEN, the $39 fee would be free (admission fee) weekend non patient charge.
Thank you white cross for seeing my son who, our own clinic East Tamaki Healthcare failed to follow up with what we were told via phone 1/10/21 at 5.30pm! ?

β β β β β I have stayed in Ascot Hospital for at least 12 times over the last 20 years. From an grade A hospital I witness it going downhill into a cheap public hospital.
Gone are the personal touches that made a stay more welcoming . Each room had a tray with a good selection of teas coffees and hot chocolate along with a kettle and milk in the fridge. A nice cup, a glass pitcher and a glass for cold drink were also part of this very welcoming approach. The rooms are dated and depressing and the linens had much better days. I was given a blanket that had blood stain on it , not acceptable! Previously, the bathroom amenities included a body moisturiser and a good quality shampoo and soap, the body lotion was no where to be found and the soap and shampoo were suitable for a cheap motel and not an hospital room that charges almost 1000 dollars a night.
The food was one of the worst I had(including public hospital), whoever is in charge of the kitchen needs to update the cooking style to the year 2021 as it seems he or she got stuck in the 90's with dishes that were tasteless ,and presented ugly . Serving creme brΓ»lΓ©e with a thick unmelted sugar on top is basic knowledge and should not be served.
I have tried few of the dishes and they all didn't fair better. The cottage pie was lumpy and didn't feel fresh and even the scrambled egg was made with egg powder and was substandard.
I understood from the nurses that a new hospitality company "spotless" had been taken over...nothing about them is spotless but very useless, they are cutting corners , removing the things that make patient happy and even removing the fresh scones or cakes for morning and afternoon tea and replaced it with packaged cookies .... Not a great look. needless to say, other patients commented on the lack of care and I heard from most of the nurses how frustrated they are about the inefficient changes.
I would remind the management that people vote with their feet and we do have other better options and hopefully you will take this feedback and rectify what is urgently need changing

β β β β β Had shoulder surgery: excellent experience throughout. Welcoming and helpful staff, very professional, excellent surgery, great anaesthetists, kept pain to a minimum, clear explanations, nice bedroom with on-suite, even good food. Nurses checked regularly, very friendly. Clear instructions for what to do next. Thanks so much!

β β β β β My first ever experience with surgery done this morning. The process was so smooth no stress and with the professional help from the caring nurses and the staff from the moment I got there till got discharge makes a huge difference. I'm so thankful to have this procedure done at Ascot. To experience not only the professional services but the opportunity to be served by some amazing individuals with loving hearts. God bless you all!
