★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our very first meal in New Zealand! And it was definitely a good idea to go there. I ordered West Coast BBQ ribs and it was sooooo soooo delicious!! A great place with nice ambient and good beer too. Service is really friendly. Recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great bar with plenty of Monteith's on tap, ranging from lagers to craft beers. There is an outdoor area which is nice to sit in as it tends to be quiet. Reasonably priced and one of the only pubs in the immediate area so tends to be a local for many people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food. Sunday roast for $15 was tasty and great size. Drinks weren't served to each person and expected to pass down table. Wasn't busy and could move down side of table so seemed lazy. Had to ask for order to be taken as waited so long. First time service not so good. Would have been 5/5 if service was better. Clean toilets. Bar and know there are quiz nights and wine tastings.

To make sure that we were allowed to have dinner there(because we are all 14 and 15 and we will not have adults with us), I CALLED their number and asked them if we were allowed to be there eating dinner, they told me yes as long as we don’t buy any alcohol, so I booked a table. But when all 6 of us arrived there, the staff told me that we were not allowed to be there, even though I explained that I called them before hand, their attitude was horrible and EXTREMELY RUDE. It was a terrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
