 This is the only accommodation in Milford Sound. When you wake up in the morning, you can have a truly unique experience with the fresh feeling and clean air coming from the surroundings....A long time reservation is required.

โ โ โ โ โ Fantastic place to stay! In nature in a camper van, Kea in the trees, the best kitchen and lounge area, and the showers are magic! Doesnโt get better than this place.

โ โ โ โ โ Have been staying at many powered sites through my journey of south island but this is the best place and a must place to stay. You park your campervan in between the nature. The first sight of the day as you wake up with kea bird coming to you and beautiful mountains all around you. Have all the facilities one require. Clean, big enough restrooms and large common area and kitchen. Milford sound cruise is just 5 mins drive and a 10 second walk to Piopio cafe(must visit).

โ โ โ โ โ I do not rate this camp site at all due to the very poor unprofessional attitude of the reception staff on the phone . Their ridiculous policy not allowing sleeping on a fully kitted out and certified 7.5m Cabin boat is totally unreasonable and is totally out of tune with the rest of the camp grounds in NZ . I therefore would not recommend this camp ground , lodge or any Accomadation they provide due to their rude , unprofessional attitude and manner on the phone .
It is a shame as the area & scenery is polar opposites to the Milford Sounds Lodge attitude and dated camp ground policies โฆโฆ..

โ โ โ โ โ Beautiful place to park up for the night,surrounded by native trees and bush.
Dinner was yummy.
Give yourself a full day driving to and back from milford,as the scenery is more impressive than the sounds in my opinion.

โ โ โ โ โ The veggie pizza after a long cruise was so good, we loved the crispy mushroom.
The coffee was also really nice!
We didnโt stay - but thatโs definitely something weโre gonna do next time.

โ โ โ โ โ Absolutely stunning place to stay, exceptionally friendly staff, fabulous food. Highly recommend a must go too!!! Rooms were large, clean and lots of space. They provided breakfast to our rooms.Also the Milford sound cruise is a must do especially on a rainy day. Hundreds of waterfalls flowing off the magnificent Mauna

โ โ โ โ โ This has to be one of the best hotels in New Zealand. It doesn't really "have" to be because it is literally the only hotel in Milford Sound. It could be a one star bunkhouse, and people would still stay there for people to avoid 5 hours of driving time to their Milford Sound visit. But NOโThe people at Mildford Sound Lodge have made this place AMAZINGโ The staff, across the board, without exception, is the epitome of gracious hospitality. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and modern with views you will never forget. The restaurant has some of the best food we've experienced in Oceania. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning and cannot be missed. Special thanks to Valentina and Becky for your exceptional hospitality.
