★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very popular spot to swim, sunbathing, picnic, relax, and unwind during summer coz it's s near the city center. There's heaps of parking, with an array of food establishments where you can dine and drink. There's a playground for children and the fountain can be a swimming pool for children during summer, there's a exercise area, and you can also rent a kayak or paddle board.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a nice beach is so close from the city, the shells are absolutely beautiful! In low tide it’s perfect for toddlers, mine loves to play in the sand and we most of the times go for an ice cream after the swim. There’s a lot of shops near by

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean tidy Beach ⛱ Easy access. Two big separate parking lots... sometimes not enough as very popular Beach! Great for kids as they have a big playground. BBQ's available for use. Iconic fountain. Fantastic view of Rangitoto. Delicious variety of cafes, restaurants & bars to choose from. Huge field for games. Love this beach!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful ocean views, however you can't see the sunset. That could be a good thing though as you can eat your fish and chips without the sun in your eyes :)
Would recommend Fish Boys from across the road. They have fabulous fish and chips with kumara (sweet potato) chips. Wonderful service :)
