β β β β β That was by far the best vegan chocolate sorbet I have ever had...it was recommended by a friend and it was totally worth the $6 for one very large scoop of deliciousness. Be warned the black Hawaiian will stain your lips if your not careful

β β β β β The Gelato here is phenomenal! For just six dollars, you can get a large scoop in a waffle cone and choose from a variety of different flavours. The red velvet and key lime cheesecake flavours are worth writing home about! Iβll definitely be back again and highly recommend visiting for yourself.

β β β β β This place has really good flavors, and very generous scoop sizes for a very good price! The cost for a single scoop is $6, the cost for a double scoop is $8, and a triple scoop is $10! If you are wanting a dairy free option then you can instead get one of the two sorbet flavours! Overall this is a really nice little ice cream shack at a nice location and I would definitely visit this place again and recommend it to others! ?

Here's the thing, a year ago, I wrote a review about this place having possibly the best ice cream/ gelato in Auckland. Unfortunately, a month ago, the store changed from a gelato store to a Kapiti store, and things are just not the same. While the ice cream is ok, it's nothing special and can be purchased from the supermarket. The prices have gone up, and the excitement of new and delicious flavours has gone down.
I loved the previous store because of the exciting flavours, ever-changing and all delicious. The new store hosts about 12 flavours, which stay the same and, to be honest, are pretty uninspiring. This place still has its upstairs seating, which some people don't know about and has its relatively cheap longest drink in town, milkshakes and thick shakes.
My thoughts go out to the owners of the gelato store as I fear they may have fallen victim to lockdown. But the old store will always be in our hearts, and we would love to see you back in the bays if you can!

There is a lovely upstairs seating area with a great view.
