★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth it, the scenery is really beautiful and the horses are well behaved. The staff teach you the basics of how to control your horse so that you can ride by yourself however if the idea of controlling a 500kg beast intimidates you then their more than happy to tow your horse along so you can just be along for the ride. The ride itself isn't all that far but it's but it's definitely more than enough to see the wildlife and scenery without getting too saddle sore. It was a beautiful day when I was there and we got to see wild deer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A highlight of our trip! My 4 year old daughter loves horses and wanted to ride, but was too young to be on her own. Rose, our guide, was very accommodating and led her for the entire ride. She took such great care of my little girl and made her feel very comfortable. The horses were very sweet and the scenery was beautiful. This was a wonderful experience, much thanks to Rosie!

Very close to Queenstown but still all rural back country feel. Experienced rides can test the horse out with great areas to trot or canter around and newbies get great TLC from very experienced guides.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience! This family farm is located in the mountains just next to Arrowtown (20 minutes bus from Queenstown city) and its gorgeous. Stunning views while horse riding the well behaved horses of Janice & Geoff which they also offer free pick up/drop off when possible. It was my first time on a horse and I fell in love with it and the whole vibes while riding. You have the opportunity to see close some deer's running in the field along with rabbits, ducks and various wild animals. The 2 girls that guided our group were very professional and friendly, they definitely made my day unforgettable.
I definitely suggest to add this to your bucket list when visiting Queenstown.
