★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice beach to hang out at. It has toilets and showers, bbq stations. Huge long sandy beach and if biking or walking it’s easy to find a quiet spot, otherwise a favourite among locals. No camping or dogs allowed and the car road closes at sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best and safest swiming beaches near Nelson.
It takes 25 mins. to get it from CBD, no parking problems, plenty of areas to have a picnic and the kids from 4 to 80 year old can swim freely.
Just bear in mind that gates close at 8:30 pm.
