★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As of 20 September 2020 this Walkway was closed by a rahui put in place by the local iwi. Presumably to protect Kauri. I recommend, as an alternative, continuing along Kaipara Flats Rd to the Dome Valley track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We followed a sign says lookout 3km. Somehow we missed the lookout end up got to this area .. dirt road and a heard of cattle ..Lol
