★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and save cave. Also recommended for kids. You can't get lost in there or fall off something. Don't forget to bring a torch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have seen better and deeper caves. However this stunned me specially because it was totally unexpected and a bit out of hand. We stumbled upon them connecting two trails along the main road. To explore them well bring a torch. We made do with the mobile phone and did not appreciate them fully, can be tricky on your feet. It is a circular route, make sure you find the exit on your left, avoiding to come back automatically the way you went in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning and awesome time spent looking around. Fully recommended it to everyone. Change of clothes and take either a torch or a head lamp. Amazing time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Punakaiki cavern beach camp
It's a nice area, if you want to stay overnight I can recommend Punakaiki beach camp. From there it's on walking distance from the cave and very close (also possible to walk if you want to, drive is a bit better I think) to the pancake rocks.
Also close is a restaurant where you can buy a nice meal or get a big beer.
The cave is nice to go into, you can't get really far but you will get an idea of what's it like.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite an eerie experience, Kids really enjoyed it and it didn't cost a cent. If you're going to see pancake rocks the cavern is well worth stopping off at
