โ โ โ โ โ Really great terrain here especially for intermediates and beginners. Unfortunately school hols was so busy we couldn't get in day before... so made it early the next day. Cafe staff were friendly but it's way too small for the amount of footfall. They need another rest area or hut to sit with your kids. Would go back just not in school hols. Great views when driving up to ski field. Kids 12 and 6 did lessons was happy with tuition especially Nick who taught my 6 year old very nice with children. Take spare cash with u as eftpos was down and we didn't have enough cash for everything. Oh well next time all in all nice time:-)

โ โ โ โ โ An undiscovered gem! A big 'small' ski area, great terrain. We skied fresh lines all day. A T bar and small chair with huge 'side country' easily accessible from the ski area.

โ โ โ โ โ The only way to have a more authentic New Zealand ski field experience is to go to Awakino.
This is just the best place to have a great day out.
Fabulous spirit and unpretentious vibe at this family friendly field.
Nothing gets close to this commercial field as it's a true one of a kind.
And if you're lucky you'll get to meet Mt Dobson's visionary creator Peter Foote as he wanders around taking care of business. He's an absolute legend.

โ โ โ โ โ Great club field with T-bar and Chairlift. Nicely groomed tracks and fun off-piste. Even when super busy, lines are never long. Stellar mountainous views. Wicked fun!

โ โ โ โ โ Very scenic and steep drive up to the mountain. Drive carefully. They open from 9am onwards but do give them a call before you go up to the mountain to check on the snow and all.. They have a rental shop up there. So yeah. Drive safely.

โ โ โ โ โ Went on a crisp bluebird day and loved it. Awesome setup and layout makes for some fun skiing and boarding. Beautiful views around the area too.

โ โ โ โ โ This place is pure ? magic if you can get a good day with plenty of โ๏ธ snow , it's definitely worth a visit if your a keen snowboarder as you can have some epic snow if you time it right ! The road is very steep so would definitely recommend โ๏ธ
