★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the experience. Tinge of sadness remembering the awesomely old cluttered version of the museum. Well worth a look whilst visiting Napier . Some wonderful exhibits inc the 1931 earthquake display .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice museum in the heart of Napier. Reasonable diversity in exhibitions to keep you occupied for an hour ish. Seemed a bit jagged thematically between each area with no real underlying connection between them, but I suppose they’re limited in what is available to be displayed hence they must make do with what they have. If you want to see creative works by the people of Hawkes Bay then this is good. However, if what you’re seeking is a well thought out museum crafted to create a interrelated and immersive experience, then perhaps this is not for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth a visit. Open and accessible to everyone. 1931 Earthquake exhibit was interesting and sobering. Excellent excerpts of HB life in freezing works and WI exhibitions. Fantastic way to spend a couple of hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but awesome Museum. We went during the school Holidays and they had some neat kids packs with activities.
The earthquake feature on the bottom floor is a must see if you are visiting Napier. Great history lesson for those that are not familiar with the regions history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interested in local historical information then this is the place and it's free. Lovely layout of art and artifacts from hawks Bay area arranged over 3 floors. Amazing silver collection is worth seeing. Staff are friendly and helpful
