★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this place by accident and it's now my favorite Indian Restaurant in Auckland! Service is fabulous, prices are good and food is so tasty !!!! Samosas are perfectly cooked without being oily at all! Many amazing vegetarian dishes also! Go and give it a try ! It's really worth it ! ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food - our local, and a growing favourite! Paneer curries and samosas are particularly tasty. Always fresh, with spice levels accurate to our order. Service is lovely and the online ordering system is reliable. Great in level 3 too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a table via Google and was confirmed via email but when we arrived the restaurant was closed for fine in and we were told it has been for ages. The lady serving was apologetic but was a bit of a bummer, especially since I'd received a confirmation email and nowhere online did I see they're closed for dine in.

The first red flag was that the naan bread was a giant flavourless hard cracker, there was no softness to it at all. I'm not sure if they reheated an old stale naan or just don't care.
I ordered Kadai Paneer which was incredibly oily, the whole thing was drowning in oil. There were also lots of whole coriander seeds which was strange, normally you'd cook them out into the base of the curry because you're not supposed to bite into them as they leave a very bitter taste if not cooked out/properly.
I'm Indian and I found it strange, normally when you buy food it's because you want to treat yourself and expect it to be something nicer than what you can make yourself at home, I'm not an amazing super chef but I do know what indian food should taste like. This aint it.
I understand capsicums are expensive at the moment but most of the curry was large chunks of onion, barely any capsicum..which is a main ingredient of a Kadai. The paneer they use is also store bought and hard in texture, not freshly made. I could easily look past this if the naan and curry was good.
Very disappointed that I spent $25 on such bad quality food that's near inedible.
