I been to Dunedin nandos with my partner on reception staff have no sense off humer as he asked me to show my vaccine pass which I have shown them as it in present and my wife she flown from overseas last month and not able to get the pass as this is getting over on 4 th off April in New Zealand so she can’t get a pass in here but she’s fully vaccinated as it’s shown on her passport. I asked to staff to let her in as she’s vaccinated and if needed we can speak to the council as we have all the proves . And more over in store dinning there was no social distance protocol followed and the guy was so rude to us . Is it only because Dunedin got only 1 Nando’s store in town . Really disappointed No sense off hummer to such kind off human beings n

Came here for lunch and got 1/4 chicken (mild) and peri peri chips. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and it was a nice setting. The only reason for 4/5 is that there was a lot of dust and some rubbish under the bar leaner along the front of the restaurant which could be seen from our table. I highly recommend coming here.

Don't know why this place is considered a fast food place but definitely better than most fast food places. Nicely seasoned juicy chicken and sides. Love the peri peri sauce. I've been there quite a few times and definitely will still come back.

We ordered takeaways on Thursday night and were advised the 1/2 chicken would be 25minutes to cook. No problems with that, it was fairly early on in the evening. However, when we received our meal, the fries and 1/2 chicken were the only items that were hot and that even looked heated. The other chicken items were cold and looked marginally cooked. These were completely inedible and thrown out. If chicken is the basis of your menu then there's no excuse for getting it so wrong!

Stunned at how small the paella rice was for a whopping $17.00 on ubereats, much smaller than the burger pictured next to it which was $14.50. Burgers were soggy and slippery to eat. So disappointed at the portion size for the rice, cannot understand how this is reasonable, we thought they gave us the kids menu size. Unacceptable. What a sorry sight. Save your money and get a takeaway fried rice for half the money and triple the size of the same quality.

Love the chicken, the spices get in to the bone. Yellow rice is ok, peri peri chips is nice, cooked well. The garden salad is below the standard, the lettuce wasn't fresh, they should check it first before serving to customers. You can have a lot of sauce to choose as an addition. Anyway the place is quite clean and cozy. I'll back next time.

I love Nando's Peri Peri grilled chicken as a flavourful and spicy food. However, this particular Nando's as an outlet (only branch in Dunedin) is quite average, compared to many other Nando's I have tried, especially in Australia they seem to have much higher standards, by comparison. Usually, this brand of restaurants are privately owned franchise stores, but this one is actually a company owned store. Which makes it even more unbelievable, to consistently have an average experience every time I have dined here. At the self service kiosk, either plates or water glasses or cutlery or Peri Peri sauce bottles or paper towls, one or the other are always missing. They're never full / properly replenished. Nothing to take away from staff though, they usually seem welcoming and sincere enough and they seem to try their best, but the fact that every time I go there, there are new staff, trying to do things the Nando's way. Also, they're always advertising for staff. I can't understand, why do they have such high turnover of staff? That too, for a restaurant in a prime location like this particular one? Perhaps, they need to lease this store to a franchisee, who can give it the personal commitment it needs, to lift it from the current mediocrity to a future excellence.
