★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store with lovely staff. My wife and I found the perfect gifts for our friends overseas who are expecting. They have a great selection of kiwiana goods and of course the buzzybee. A lot of their products are made with organic cotton, but best to check the label if in doubt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited with my pregnant daughter today and after signing in and sanitising our hands we were happily browsing when the sales assistant left through a closed door to the back of the shop. She returned saying that the manager had asked that we were not to touch the clothes unless we were thinking of buying and then she would show us the items. This was a really uncomfortable experience and we would have preferred to know this before we started browsing. Why do they provide hand sanitiser if they don't believe it works. It would have been easier for us and the assistant if the Manager had approached us herself. I will spend my money elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really disappointed with the customer service at your Grey Lynn store today. I tried to exchange some items we were given for different sizes (all items still have their original tags) because my baby is too big for them and I was told that it wasn’t possible. So I left the store feeling really deflated because I love your products and was excited to get some new things for my baby to wear but instead I’m left with items she doesn’t fit and can’t get any use out of. It’s really disappointing and doesn’t fit with my previous experience with your brand or leave a positive lasting impression of it either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an admirer of the quality of products and a frequent patron across your Newmarket and more recently Grey Lynn store, I was left with a sour taste with my recent interaction with a member of staff during purchase at your Grey Lynn store. After purchasing multiple products, the cashier asked if she could " wrap our items in cloth" and if " we had enough hands " to carry the purchase out of the store. Not at any point during the interaction were we asked if we wanted a bag and as we were carrying our baby, that would have been very welcome. This was further aggravated by the fact that other customers with single items were given bags without any hesitancy. I would hate to think this was a case of cultural insensitivity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have always loved NB products, great range of items in store but customer service isn’t great. I usually buy online but decided to go in store today since we were in the area.
I had a list of items I was going buy but staff were busy chatting away and didn’t bother to serve us - they were folding clothes by the entrance, there wasn’t anyone else in store besides the three of us (hubby, baby and I). I had to approach the staff and ask for help myself. No biggie, but thought it’d be nice to be offered some help since I was walking back and forth between the racks looking for the items on my list.
They did serve everyone else who came in afterwards though - the usual “hi, is there anything I can help with today”. But strange that they didn’t welcome us the same way ??♀️.
So decided to only buy 2 items (that I found myself) and left. Will get the rest online since there’s no difference in the online/in-store shopping experience any way.
