โ โ โ โ โ My visit to this store today was rather disappointing .. been shopping here for 15 yrs. The store security approached me and interrogated me :
What was I doing there?
Why havenโt you bought anything?
And so it went along these lines .. .
Of course I came to shop .. as I do.
I came out of the checkout to get some cash fm the ATM while my wife kept on shopping.
I donโt appreciate being interrogated in such a manner .. by anyone.
You treat yr customers like this?

โ โ โ โ โ I am absolutely appalled with the state of lettuce that this new world has.
Every time I go in to shop here, which is very regularly, especially the bagged lettuce is way past the use by period.
It is always wet, soggy, brown ends and un-appetising.
The deli meat looks old and un-used and we bought some cheese which is well within the expiry date which has gone off.
For a main stream super market this is very disappointing.
It is better to have too little and good quality than too much and un-useable

โ โ โ โ โ It wasbusy when I was there and checkout operator that was manning the self serve check outs was not very nice and didn't reply when I asked her a question. She just scanned her code which allowed me to get my cider ,I did feel like I inconvenienced her so didn't want to be a hassle

โ โ โ โ โ I actually love this New World. Sure, premium mangoes can sometimes cost $9.99 each ? but island living begets expensive fruit, amirite? Honestly, they've got an awesome selection of vegan products like the entire Pico range of vegan chocolates at affordable prices and those vegan Pam's brioche buns that are perfect for BBQs

Clear labelling. A good selection at the deli. Efficient service at checkout. A good vibe.
Good to see soft plastics bin.
All round worthwhile .

โ โ โ โ โ Terrible. Toxic. Uninvited. Removed the Gayness. For the worst. This gets a complete โ1โ star from me. Only because I needed up with stuff at the end and the check out lady was lovely. I canโt believe how far this place has slipped, you almost feel like your annoying to exist. It used to be the go too spot but now itโs a complete waste of space after COVID. Congratulations to Countdown Ponsonby, see you next week. xx P.S. 200 metres of sauce wonโt change the amount of sauce people useโฆ
