Practice fees

Fees vary according to the length of your appointment. Routine appointments are 15 minutes long. Should you require more time with the doctor, please let the receptionist know when you make an appointment. Please see our Fees Schedule at reception for more details. There is usually a charge for seeing a Nurse and for ACC consultations.

Please note: The attached fees notice is indicative and current as at 17 February 2022.  It is not a complete list of our fees and they are subject to change without notice.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of your visit. We accept cash, EFTPOS and major credit cards (except AMEX and Diners). There is a fee for accounts which are not paid within 14 days of invoiced date.

Our family has used Newlands Med Centre for almost 20 years. Tim McKenzie and the team are very good to deal with. The only areas for improvement would be they are not open on weekends whereas other providers in the area are. With the new facilities and upmarket systems perhaps they should review that - at least for Saturdays?

My Daughter was recently seen by Dr Gee, who was most unprofessional. My daughter was subjected to a barrage of swearing, and received some very disturbing comments. We are now in the process of lodging a complaint with the Medical Council.

worst experience I have ever had with a medical facility, I went for 4 separate appointments, my issue is still unresolved, the doctor I saw Dr Duncan was really unprofessional and unhelpful, I was prescribed the wrong medicine which made my condition worsen, they then increased my dosage when I returned for a follow up appointment which gave me a huge allergic reaction and meant I had to book yet another appointment. I have thought about laying a formal complaint because of my experience, I will never go back there.

I really like this practice. Our Dr, Julia Hudson, is great and so are the nurses. Reception staff are too. Nice big waiting space with a lovely aquarium. There are books for the kids and a little play area.

There are many 5 star staff at this location, including nurses. It's a 4 star as not all, and some temp staff have been lacking, however I am sure some of this is personal preference and compatibility. Love this place and although I've tried other places, I have stayed here for 8 years running now.

I have been a patient of Dr.Jim Aubrey for years since 80s when my mum use to be one my kids born under his care.He is the best Dr. I have been to . Had no problems he takes time to listen and understand the patient wish he always my Dr. Till the end.The nurses and staffs are so nice especially Nurse Ann she reminds my appointments and recalls. Best medical care.....

Those register doctors are useless. Rung them to see if a doctor can have a look at my daughter since she had a really high fever that afternoon but he said to see him next day. We went see dr Alton, too busy with his protective care on didn't even check my daughter properly. Left there with nothing end it up taking my baby to the after hour in Newtown coz she still had a high fever. After hour checked her and said she had an ear infection so got some antibiotics for her ear and she felt better after 2 days.

This review is aiming for improvement the quality of the receptionist service. I had felt I was not listened by one recpetionist when I was phoning for help. The receptionist had the attitude of not wanting to listen to me, despite I had asked her nicely to check her email of my screenshot that I did not receive the right document, and there was no attachment in the email. Howvever, she response was refusing to check the email, instead continueing forward the wrong document. I felt I was not listen , instead I felt was commanded by her that she had done it, despite taking my instruction of reattaching the right document for me. It took three phone calls over more than three hours of my day. I only got the right document and got help from was from a male receptionist in the afternnon. I had used this medical centre for more than 6 years to receive this kind of treatment was not expected from me. Please improve your quality of service and less of preconvieve ideas of knowing it all and refuse to actively listen to patients. It is not a pleasant experienced to feel , espeically when the pateint are already unwell. Thank you and please take it positively. I just did not want someone to go through the same thing as I had. It is unjust, disrespecful and unpleasant for anyone to go through. Thank you
