★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What gets me with places and companies during this pandemic, (COVID-19). You have to wear masks all of a sudden at the clinic, but the staff behind the counter does not wear a mask. Yes there is a screen, but she does move away from the screen, walk around to get coffee. I did not know it is only the patients at the clinic that has the potential to carry the virus

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very unhappy about the staff of Tawa medical centre, they are not responsive at all, After being visited by the GP, I've even contacted them 5 times to follow up my registration with ACC, but they haven't sorted it out yet (the form has not been sent yet!). It is almost 3 months!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was mistreated, judged and misdiagnosed by a doctor at this practice, Dr Brandon Casserly. After 10 years of being mislead and ignored, I found a new GP and had my notes transferred. After having seen the horrid judgemental things he wrote and how he labeled me from day one, I was left in total shock. The worst part is that his blatant negligence in misdiagnosis and dismissal of my issues has left me fighting to keep my ability to walk, which SHOULD have been easily prevented. It was an easy single consultation diagnosis elsewhere after finally going to a new GP that actually cares.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, normally you don't wait long to see your doctor. Due to COVID restrictions you can do a phone consultation, and get meds from chemist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My doctor is great although I have never ever had an appointment on time here for all the years I’ve been with them.
They run at least 20 minutes late and that is on a good day. Usually it will be 30-45 minutes in my experience which I sit through anyway as getting an appointment takes weeks. I still arrive on time.
Today was especially frustrating as reception neglected to check me in despite asking for my appointment details as I arrived.
It took me a while to actually ask as I am used to waiting so long. An hour and a half waiting waiting for nothing.
If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are going to now start asking patients to wait outside until they get phone call to come in for their appointment, you are going to need to provide a better solution and keep to appointment times before winter sets in!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was buzzed in I went to the front desk one lady was on the phone and the other just sitting there, after a minute I sat down. 45 minutes later I asked the lady at the reception if I had mixed the day up , she replied no you haven’t I’m sorry we’ve had a mix up, and sent me me through with a doctor I’ve never seen before.
I’ve been coming to this medical centre 20 years and it’s become more like a chop shop, very impersonal.
