Nice bike climb with a few challenging roots to navigate. Currently, snow has turned the top of the track to mud so don’t bother going much further than the picnic table.

cool track which holds up with the rain during winter due to its largely gravel construction. easy enough grade to ride up and then down with a beginner rider whilst still enjoyable for the more adept. also can take the enduro line down from the top which is one of best tracks in Dunedin when is in try conditions

Went tramping up there with our tramping group. Good to get out into the bush. Tracks were in not bad condition but if been raining be careful. Could get a bit slippery but good views.

Good for both bikers and hikers. Tracks not badly eroded, no signs of overuse by wheels. Lots of rocks in some stretches. Leads up via Moon Track to the Swampy Circuit. A great days hiking!

I love this new found track. I've been here twice already. It's actually an MTB track but can be running trail too. It's quite muddy if you go there a day after the rain. The track is 6k up at the junction and you can continue to swampy ridge or back down. You can see the Dunedin City at junction point as well as the Mount Cargill.

It is a shared track for cyclists and hikers. Has all the elements of a lush green forest hike. We hiked about 90 minutes and descended as it started drizzling. At places, the trail was slippery due to the previous day rain. With a variety of flora, especially the ferns, the trail is enjoyable.

We found this waterfall on the website but the signs and descriptions are not clear at all. We have hiked on the MTB track mistakenly for an hour before we found the right way. Please ensure you entered at the gate if you are looking for the waterfall. Then you will see two paths in a minute, no signs at this point. I'd read the comments below and it seems the left one's head to the waterfall. Unfortunately, the path started muddy and the sun was going down so we gave up. Good luck to all of you.

Nicols Falls is a real gem hidden at the end of this Track. This is probably the most beautiful waterfall in Dunedin. The track is slippery. it is more slippery and also danger If walking along the river instead the track.
