★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful small campsite right next to a lively bay. No sandflies and friendly ranger. I stayed two days and enjoyed every moment. It takes 30 mins by car to the start of mount stoke hike which is a great 3 hour return track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nikau Cove is a beautiful campsite in the Marlborough sound. The rate in 2018 is only 8 dollars for adults. Only a public WC is available. But the view on the Waitaria Bay is perfect and you have a look at the McMahan Point. Some of the 6 spots are only a few meters from the lake.
