★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheapest shower on the Queen Charlotte Track. $10 a night, to camp, hammocks, solar showers, decent toilets and BBQs available. Bags will be looked after if dropped at the Jetty (ie. before dropping you off at Ships Cove, 4-5 hours walk away). Also simple but effective Manuka walking sticks for sale here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a dream. I stayed here during the queen Charlotte track and I liked this campsite the most! There are hammocks, an amazing view, a sheltered place for cooking and a clean toilet. If that's not enough, you can have a swim at the private beach and a warm welcome guaranteed with the nice owners. If you've time I would recommend staying here a few nights, you won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tony Madsen is the best host I have ever had and their property is absolutely beautiful : they not only has a private beach and jetty, but also at low tide you can pick up mussels from the rocks and then cook them - they are fantastic. At night, you get the most incredible view on the stars. The facilities are clean and very well maintained.
And most importantly, Tony is a very nice, caring and generous man and he will help you out if you need.
I strongly recommend you to stop here - you won’t regret it!
