★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a face mask from this store for my 15 year old daughter. When we left the store my daughter tried the mask on. It was way too big for her. It was sticking out far from her nose & fell down when she talked. When I compared it with a similar mask of the same design it was made much bigger and even with the it tightened it still didn’t fit anyone in my family. The store refused to refund this mask which cost $ around $16.00. Just a warning to anyone, don’t buy their masks as they are badly made and don’t work for the intended purpose. I won’t use this store again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a disappointing experience here recently. I walked into the changing rooms and the staff member looked me up and down and didn’t say a word, then turned her back to me. I obviously was there to try stuff on and I had to get her attention and ask for a fitting room. At the counter I waited while two staff members were on a computer. No one acknowledged me for a good 30 seconds. The staff member who served me didn’t give me a bag and when I asked for one, she hastily handed it over to me and turned away instead of putting my purchase in it.
I won’t rush back to this North Beach as I left feeling quite uncomfortable, but every other NB store I’ve been to has great service. Maybe it was just a bad day?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are buying Doc Martens I recommend going to the Doc Martens NZ website to save yourself A LOT of hassle if things go wrong. The Doc Martens website advertise a 100% satisfaction guarantee. North Beach terms & conditions are not consumer friendly. Plenty of online retailers out there with reasonable terms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going into this store for 5-6 years at a guess, usually to get my summer foot ware or gifts for family members. Always impressed by the service and help I get. These guys know about customer service. They are all young people with great attitudes and a willingness to serve. I got served by Jakob today, thanks Jakob for you service and arranging the Jandals that weren’t in stock to be delivered to my home. My wife saw the two pairs I bought Wednesday and wanted the same. Sorry I can’t remember the name of that young lady who served me. She was just as helpful. Thanks heaps North Beach, Te Awa.
