About NZ Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centre
The New Zealand Dermatology & Skin Cancer Centre is a skin specialist centre dedicated to providing an outstanding and comprehensive dermatology service. Dr Ian Coutts, Dr Scott Barker and Dr John Snow are consultant Dermatologists and Dermatological Surgeons. Having completed medical training, specialist physician training and then dermatology specialist training (through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) they are doctors expert in all fields of skin disease and skin cancer. The NZDSCC has been purpose designed to meet national standards, with an operating theatre built to day case surgery standards. The staff and facilities enable the highest degree of clinical and surgical care.
We have expertise in treating eczema, psoriasis and inflammatory skin rashes. We do skin prick and skin patch allergy testing.
We use Nd:YAG, Alexandrite, Multiplex lasers and Intense Pulse Light (IPL). Unwanted hair, facial and leg veins, fine lines and signs of ageing and and brown pigment irregularities can be treated.
We have medical grade cosmetic skincare creams available to suit skin types and budgets.
We have Dermastamp procedures for reducing fine lines, skin pores and improving old and new scars including acne scars.
NZDSCC is the first team based dermatology practice in the Wellington region and therefore at least one of our dermatologists is present each day. This enables us to offer a wide range of services and provide the most effective and advanced treatments.
We encourage people who have concern about their skin to see our specialist trained team directly or the GP for a referral letter, which is always welcome.
