Jeff indicated the potential concern/risk, along with pictures, and provided great advise on overall cost of maintain the house etc. They are not shy and working for the buyer. If you are looking for detailed/experienced pre-purchase report, I would recommend this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NZ house check were great to deal with when we had a house to inspect on Waiheke Island- Susan was super helpful, and organising it on Waiheke wasn't a problem. Jeff gave us a thorough written report and talked us through it in detail which gave us a good idea of what work would need to be done to the property. Would thoroughly recommend them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We first used Jeff almost 10 years ago when we were looking at buying our first home.
Jeff was very thorough and probably saved us from buying a leaky home. He ultimately helped us find our first home. We’re now using him again as we look to upgrade.
We’ve recommended him several times since then and everyone we know who has used him has been very impressed with Jeff’s professionalism and attention to detail.
Most home inspectors just peak into the attic or the underfloor crawl space. Not Jeff, he actually gets into those hard to reach spaces and does a proper inspection.
He also provides comprehensive reports, complete with photographs and exactly what is wrong and how it can be fixed, and his turnaround is lightening fast.
I’m a harsh critic, take a look at some of my other reviews, but Jeff ... he is worth every penny and he’ll save you in the long run.

He was very thorough picking up multiple issues that needed addressing and he is clearly very knowledgeable of the building code and best practice. He also suggested ways to mitigate potential future issues. Jeff was prompt and very personable with the written report provided within 24 hours. We would recommend 100%.
