★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful spot for a walk or picnic by the river with plenty of natural highlights along the trail. Just a short drive off the main highway and feels like you’re completely immersed in nature. Cross the bridge over the Whakapapa River and you’ll be at the start of the 42 Traverse.
