We went on the shuttle today from national park, park and ride. We jumped in and were off. Great convocation on the way there and the way back. Very friendly and very helpful. Def recommend. Will be using them again on the next trip up the mountain

Very rude customer service. Called to ask if shuttles were running tomorrow for the crossing and the man who answered the phone was very snarky. Yeah I realize it’s half 8 and the answer is “no” but perhaps you were already planning a run and stand to make an extra $40 on me… no need to be rude. A simple “no, unfortunately we’re not,” or “yes, but we’re already booked.” would have been more gracious. Or heck, don’t even answer your phone if you you’re not in a good mood. Won’t use nor recommend this company based on poor customer service.

We've used Ruapehu Scenic Shuttles the last two years and this time they really saved my bacon! I accidentally messed up the booking (under-booked by 4) but they still came through, got all 9 of us up and down the mountain, and sorted out the payment issue afterwards. Accommodating and very helpful, really made us feel like we were important as customers! I absolutely recommend this service to anyone needing to go up the mountain!

Colin was incredibly helpful during our trip to Ruapehu. There was a little hiccup in the beginning where we had to postpone our trip an hour later due to low number of bookings but that’s fine and understandable. We told Colin we were planning to do the walks on the mount then he told us the accesses to the walks were closed for winter (bummer!). The next day, he gave us some suggestions on what else we could do in the area. He was very humble, patient and flexible in time-wise. He even offered an extra ride which we were really thankful for. Thank you Colin for all your help and everything. Without it, our day and trip would’ve been ruined… so THANK YOU!! xx ❤️

Booked with this operator because they seemed to be a small family business who would offer friendly and personal service. Here is a direct quote from the driver, emailed to me the day before our booking: “There is not much (actually any) demand for shuttles tomorrow so I am making a special trip currently.” He then said he “can’t do last minute decisions” (when we were waiting to see if the ski fields would open up - not our fault and certainly not last minute) and that there is “limited cell coverage where I will be.” We were made to feel like a hassle, like we weren’t worth his time, even though the service had already been paid for in full. As it happened, the ski fields did close due to bad weather. Terms and conditions state that refund requests based on ski field closures must be made in writing via email within 72 hours. I did this. I texted and emailed multiple times. No correspondence whatsoever from them. After displaying very good communication when booking the service, they literally ignored me as soon as I requested a refund. I was happy to receive the refund less 20% or $50 as stated in their T&Cs, but they just left me in the dark. Next ski season I’ll be booking with a bigger operator who has more reliable systems in place to work WITH customers, rather than avoiding them.

We decided to take a short notice ride on Fisher's Track, and messaged Ruapehu Scenic Shuttles very late on a Friday night to see if they could accommodate us the next day. We got a reply first thing on Saturday, with advice on the best way to tee up the shuttle, and were able to be shuttled from the finish of the track to the start at 10am that morning. Prompt, helpful assistance. Good local knowledge on how to tackle various tracks, and on where a Vodafone signal could be found (not in many places here, unfortunately :-)). We would happily recommend the team at Ruapehu Shuttles. Enabled us to have a great day out at very short notice...
