β β β β β It is trip worthy to go. seeing the interior design of this heritage house, sure not only for seeing the rooms, also it is chance to all the collections room by room are the highlight of my visit. I was so glad to see the diversity of authentic art collections here. Some Chinese and Japanese art do bring the pride and joy to my trip.

β β β β β An important Εtepoti site of historical importance. Visiting Olveston is like stepping back in time, it's a must do if you are visiting Dunedin, but also if you're a local. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and make the house come alive again with the stories they tell about the original occupants.

β β β β β Thank you for your informative tour; what a lovely house to visit. Itβs hard to think of another home in NZ that is preserved in such a way, with its fabulous art collection intact. The owners had wonderful taste and we recommend that anyone visiting Dunedin take the time to explore the garden and take the tour.

β β β β β Beautifully presented and preserved home and collection! Easy to book for the tour, tour guide very knowledgeable, something for everyone, even my husband liked it. Great gardens too!

β β β β β We didnβt have much time in Dunedin, but were so glad we did a tour. We had a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. There is so much to look at in the rooms and an hour went way too fast. At times it felt a little rushed, but appreciate they have to stick to time limit to allow others through. It is absolutely stunning and a real gem to the city of Dunedin. Highly recommend.

β β β β β Well worth a visit. This house is jammed packed with all its original features and collections. The tour guide was full of interesting information about the family and the history. Really enjoyed our time their and will go vaccine and do the behind the ropes tour and art tour.

β β β β β Gorgeous home and garden left to the people of Dunedin.
You have to book a βtourβ and unfortunately we felt our guide rushed us through
(We were only a small group of 3 and didnβt have all the answers we were looking for or else wouldnβt answer our questions about the history of the people of house until we were in the correct room). It was a little scripted but worth the trip. A lot of the house was off limits ie tutors room, top floor and bottom floor/basement area.
They need a brochure or leaflet with some history of the house, owners, furnishings and a map of the building and gardens.
