β β β β β Great little spot, safe and has a great view across to Devonport, Rangitoto and the city.
The park is an easy walk to Beachlands, it takes you past a football field and a shared wlakinh/bike track. Alternatively, in other direction you can walk to Maraetai and along the beach.

β β β β β Good camping ground. Lots of space usually. Benches and available drinking water very handy. Great for a close by getaway from Auckland

β β β β β A pleasant regional park and campground managed by Auckland city council. Basic facilities (long drop toilets). Must be booked in advance by phone or with the local ranger. Undulating ground with some flat pitches. Coastal walkway and perimeter track. Good children's play park at campground entrance. Can be noisy in the early morning and late at night due aircraft on flight path to Auckland airport. Some facilities for the disabled.

β β β β β Good place to picnic if you live in Auckland. Nice country side drive from Botany or from Takanini.
Spend whole day under the sun with good views of Waiheke and Rangitoto. Safe place for kids to let them be.

β β β β β Beautiful, took family from Australia here for the experience and they loved it, might I say they have been inspired to do camping with their families when they get back home. Lovely flat camping spots very spacious with bbq facilities tables, drinkable tap water, Fire pit (you need to contact ranger if you want to use, I think they supply the wood etc) and big bins for recycling and rubbish at the entrance. Lovely friendly Ranger.
Awesome play ground for the kids beach walks and shops/petrol station near by. Countdown is about 5mins drive, with other shops like bakeries etc in the area. Will be back but have a dog at home so we're usually at campsites that allow our furball.. so would be so awesome if sensible well trained dogs/supervised to protect wild life are allowed in future.

β β β β β Good place for camping. We had great night. My kids enjoyed their stay. Only the toilet was not what we expected. Not maintained in a proper manner. The pit toilet smells very badly. They Could have installed a flush toilet.
Kids play grounds, picnic spots and beaches nearby are awesome ?
