★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid Lockwood built motel units have aged well (and maintain the Lockwood tradition of "talking" as the temperature fluctuates). Good hot water supply. Comfortable beds and, unlike so many motel units these days, there is a bedside table with adjustable light on each side of the bed. Very close to Supermarket, and short walk to Orewa's cafes. Friendly and helpful host.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely Host with the most..Jan she Aims to please, very relaxed motel to stay at, soooo close to all amenities, cosy Lockwood units, with everything you need. Amazing reasonable rates, and the house maid cleaners, are very efficient and fast, and ask if you need anything at all to help make your stay please try.. IE: will fetch a fan for Ur room, give extra towels, make up wipes.. I keep coming back here time after time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whilst the staff are super friendly and accommodating, the motel itself does not live up to the sign on the road. The internet is not free, the SPA is disused and out of action, there is only 11 TV channel's not 12, and as far as the 4 star rating goes ?, I rate it 2 based on the above and overall quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room is nice and cosy and the beds are really comfortable.
Terrible customer service and the host was rude my entire stay. We're staying there for 7 days. She Asked us to move rooms without reason and then having the cleaners loudly knock on the door and asking us to evacuate so that they can clean. I simply said my boy is asleep but will be out in 10 minutes and she said no I need to clean it now.
Incredibly rude.
There's no spa as advertised and the WiFi terrible. No service .
For the price paid, I wouldn't recommend it and won't be staying here in future.
The location however is stunning, close to all amenities and facilities such as restaurants, shops, parks and beaches.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found it just ok. It needs a fan and grounds tidied up. The rooms need airing too. It had a stuffy smell about it. But lovely clean shower and nice clean linen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap, clean and cheerful. Love the Lockwood cabin feel. Unfortunately the spa looks as though it's been disused for a number of years which is a shame cos I chose this place because of it. Host was friendly but not overbearing. Wifi not complimentary. Lovely area close to the beach, supermarket and eateries.
