Only downside was that, as we went on a public holiday, the spa was absolutely packed.
Strongly recommend going here if you want to relax. The river was freezing but so fast, great fun to go out and just feel the power of nature before warming up in the spring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As geothermal explorers me and my partner were really amazed by this free spa park. The temperature of water in early summer was perfect. The best thing is that you can cool in a really cold Waikato River afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome little hidden gem! A bit of a walk from the carpark and we had a little trouble with the Google Maps finding the correct route, but it was worth the walk. The water was only warm in the day we went, but it didn't seem to phase the kids jumping in. Toilet facilities and a cafe on site. This is also a Toyota Kiwi Guardian site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to take the family for the day. Kids loved playing in the natural warm geothermal water & it was a bonus for us adults having the lil cafe down there to buy coffee. Toilets & change rooms were beautiful & clean. Well done Taupo, you've done well with this place. Highly recommend this place to visit.
