★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifully laid out natural setting with many native (and endangered) species easily viewable. The trail is a very pleasant stroll with lots of interpretive information. The site is well protected from invasive species with effective fencing and gates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this nature reserve in Island Bay created by a community-owned trust. I've explored a couple of the tracks - Max's Zig-Zag and Jennifer's Track, which leads to Jennifer's Bench. Definitely worth a look! Just be careful if it's been raining as it can be a bit slippery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beautiful reserve has a hidden entrance on Derwent Street, Island Bay. A steep bush covered track zig-zags up the hill to join the City to Sea walkway. Known by locals this can be a great circuit to the supermarket!!
