★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The plants I bought here came with infestations of both aphids and fungus gnats. I took the plants straight home inside, where there's no other plants and no outdoor garden near my apartment. I spent more money on pest spray, neem oil and replacing the infested soil. 4 out of 6 plants are dead now and starting again with new plants will mean I'll have to dispose of the other 2 aswell, so I don't risk infecting any new plants. I will not shop here again.

We parked here to browse their plant selection and have my birthday breakfast in their Cafe but as we were approaching the store a lady staff member stopped us in the carpark asking how long we intended on staying as the manager was not happy with us taking up more than one carpark. Feeling very unwelcome we chose not to go instore and promptly left. Shame on you Palmers. I counted at least 12 other parks available in the carpark. Will not be returning here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were far from impressed with the way our purchase of a display stock umbrella was handled.
We wanted to negotiate a reduction in price due to the umbrella being (a) a display model and (b) it having a number of bird droppings on the canopy.
At first our request to negotiate a fair price was refused only to then be offered a 25% discount off the retail price.
The Manager refused to engage in further conversation with us instead requesting the original retail price from the checkout operator at point of sale.
This retail price was more than what we were told when we originally enquired earlier in the day.This transaction could have been handled a whole lot better.
We got a better response from other North Island Palmers franchises.
