β β β β β For the price and location, this was a great value and a great stay.
The room was large and comfortable. It had easy chairs along with a table. There was a small but functional kitchenette with fridge and sink.
Bathroom was a bit small and the shower was a bit low, but fine.
It was well maintained and super well situated. Entrances from both the back street and off Lambton Quay. Wellington is very walkable and we walked easily from here to everywhere we wanted to go.
Staff stored our bags for the afternoon with numbered pickup tags. There is a concierge available.

β β β β β We upgraded ourselves to an Executive Room which I believe is pretty much the same as a normal room except it has a bath. Itβs not a large room but sufficient space for 2 people. The sink is tiny! Thereβs hardly any space to keep anything there. Thereβs a coffee machine and they stock coffee, tea and chocolate. Convenient location but unfortunately we had to park outside because the parking was full. Itβs not cheap to park on the road so try and get a parking space at the hotel

β β β β β Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was tidy, bed was very comfortable. Not many facilities at hotel but everything is within a short walking distance. Provided with free membership at Les Mills during my stay at hotel, which is a 3min walk away. Good location and close to Queens Wharf, but a minimum of 20min walk to Te Papa. Some decor elements within hotel are out dated. Comfortable 1 night stay, 09.10.18.

β β β β β Very disappointing, we were supposed to have the Heron room but got the Robin room "cosy and compact", however, it was small and pokey. Couldn't sit on toilet and close the door and the toilet seat was positioned off centre to accommodate the lack of space.
Hit my head twice on the TV on the wall because there was not enough room between the bed and the wall (and I'm not tall).
Got disturbed for 2 nights at 3.45am by other hotel guests and we were at the end of a corridor so not sure of the effectiveness of the soundproofing.
Altogether a huge disappointment and would certainly not recommend this hotel ?

β β β β β The executive floor room is small but mostly fine. The room need a little renovation and cleaning as there's spill marks at the air conditioning unit and ugly cracks on the wall. Toilet is small and the kettle can barely fit into the tap to fill up. There's a microwave, plates and cutlery for anyone looking to have some simple meal. Closet space is good and work desk is a little small for someone who have a lot of stuff.

β β β β β Our room was a bit on the small side for the price, but perfectly adequate for a weekend in the capital. It's in a good location and only a short walk to all the main attractions.
Didn't have much to do with the staff but they were pleasant enough on check-in and check-out.
The room was cosy and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a decent enough size and clean, shower was good.

β β β β β It used to be so good! When I stayed here a few years ago it was so nice, but now it's just a bit run down and not well maintained. Chipped paint on the walls, a missing button in the shower, gross red (blood?) stains on the chairs, etc. The reception is also only open from 4pm to 6.30pm and I never recieved late check in instructions or was told to arrive before 6.30. I had to call an emergency number to get my key from a lock box and didn't even get a wifi password....I'm so disappointed, as the location is great but based on my last experience I am never going back.

β β β β β Well equipped room had exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. Location is super central which meant we could walk everywhere. Enjoyed having a bath, kitchenette with coffee plunger and room lighting that was very adjustable. Just wish we had bought the gourmet chocolates when reception was open! A great find.
