About Parked Up | Beer Garden & Event Venue
The Edwardian villa out of which Parked Up is based was originally designed as a caretakers’ residence in 1905. Over a century later, we, being the current custodians of the place, make it a point to look after the heritage status of the building while we continue hosting events and entertaining guests. We also look after its upkeep and maintenance so that one of the most iconic structures in central Auckland remains in good shape.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a disaster, a friend booked it for a birthday party only to turn up and the owner had taken another booking and called it double booking, look at the feedback and this is not a first for him. My friends party was shoved into another area without the appropriate cover and it meant the kitchen could not cope with both functions and the poor quality food came out very late. To top it off the owner was very drunk and drinking all night, he was eating the food that was for quests and trying to dance with the younger females. I can’t work out why he still has his liquor licence let alone a business. I would be very careful about booking this place for a function

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had my brothers 21st birthday last weekend and I couldn’t have asked for anything more!!
It was just the most amazing night with the best atmosphere! The venue space is so authentic and inviting, the food was so tasty and the bar was well equipped. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and Nick is an absolute gem..
I told him what I wanted and it was achieved and executed to a high standard! Would definitely recommend this cute and unique space for any kind of event!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since I first been to this place aless than a month ago I came back 5 times. Most of my visits were business meetings (non peak hours tho). The staff is not only friendly but they really take good care of the customers. And the whole place is nicely decorated and lots of seats at the garden. The food is great as well. I highly recommend this venue!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceedingly average experience this week (Wed) after having looked forward to attending this function post lockdown. Wanted a Campari at outdoor bar and was advised available at indoor bar. Go there and rather rudely told could not serve me as bar for another function (ok, Covid rules...totally get it but why so curt?) Go back to outside bar and settle for a G&T...pay money. Tonic flat! Pre lockdown stock from 3 months earlier, perhaps? Waste of good Haymans gin. Woodfired pizzas on offer at function supposedly. Yummy! stomach juices get going with the delicious smells of pizza being eaten around me. Order a margherita from waitress . 30 odd mins goes by so go check in on progress. Ooops.... "sorry I gave your pizza to someone else. Bit of a wait, now......" Left immediately after, utterly ravenous. Went to a nearby bar and had a delicious meal with great service.Should have just skipped this function and gone directly there. Happy to make allowances for hospo, post lockdown wobbles etc but this place was pretty Fawlty Towers if completely honest. Needs to up game if it wants to survive and thrive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was lucky enough that my 40th Party was able to held at Parked Up between the Lockdowns of 2020 - Nick, an Auckland Hospitality Industry Veteran who runs Parked Up was across all aspects of making sure the night went amazing. His Staff are no bunch of ring-ins either, they all went out of their way to make sure all of the Guest had a great time.
Unlike other venues the Beverage budget went way further than expected and all of the food (almost all of which was prepared on site) served hit the mark and was well received.
The variety of spaces are ideal for setting up a pumping dancefloor but still having plenty of areas where it is easy to catch up and talk with someone too.
Nick is always evolving the venue and has some exciting changes coming up. Book this 'hidden in plain sight' venue and you will not be disappointed!

The outdoor setting made the night and all of the team from the bar staff, to the pizza man and the security helped to make an awesome and very memorable evening. I would highly recommend the venue and highly recommend going with the pizza's (what a brilliant idea). Nick was very very helpful and excellent coordinating all of our requirements.
