About Payless Plants
Payless Plants is a registered company. The parent Company is Associated Land Management Ltd formed in 1980.
Payless Plants is a grower retailer plant nursery, meaning it manufactures its own plants, and sells them direct to the public. The nursery produces about 100,000 plants per annum over many hundreds of varieties. Main production groups include: evergreen and deciduous azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, day lilies, grasses, nz natives, general ornamentals, hedging, and some conifers.
As a grower retailer we are similar to a factory shop. All activity revolves around production with the end result our prices are among the most competitive in New Zealand.
All marketing and sales is based on reputation. Each year demand is steadily increasing for the plants. Customers include local government, Wintec, other nurseries, farmers, property developers, other retailers, but by far the most important customer is the general public. Customers come from far and wide, mostly south of our location, including from New Plymouth, Taumarunui, Taupo, and Morrinsville areas.
Anyone is welcome to visit.
Payless Plants is a member of NZPPI.
IPPS is a global network of plant production professionals, including those involved in horticultural research and education. IPPS aims to improve the knowledge, skills and professionalism of its members.
