★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good selection of beers for an afternoon of drinking and watching the cricket. Clean but worn outside covering. Live commentary could be heard in side but being summer outside music was fine. Inside the bar was clean and tidy. Food served was very nice. Steaks done as asked and platters with fresh deep fried selection. Toilets were clean. Friendly staff.

& we were so impressed, it wasn't our first rodeo coming In to the Pegasus arms, but it was so busy with it being queens birthday weekend.
The young lads that were working, were so calm, cool & collected &, our drinks and meals got to the table in a timely manner.
Well done guys! & thank you. The steaks were delicious ✨️

The ambience was very appealing as it is like an old English Pub, the waitress who served us was very friendly and the time between service was just right. I cannot say enough about the food, it was hot, very very tasty and a huge plate. Thank you and we will return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great bar, awesome service! Been staying in Christchurch for 4 nights and this has become our local already! The meals are exceptional, make sure you try the roast. And don’t be scared to give Tommi a bit of stick, he loves the banter! We will be coming back on our next visit and every visit after that, a real historic gem, thanks guys ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This typical English/Kiwi pub is a well kept Christchurch secret, in a lovely spot down by the River Avon.
Met with friendly front if house staff, great local atmosphere just enough time to drink a coffee and have a chat before the food arrived.
I have to say this was one of the best Sunday Roasts I have had for a very long time.
The lamb was well cooked to perfection and the only reason I was not left wanting more was the portions were more than sufficient.
The potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegs all cooked to perfection and the price point great value for money.
We will be back for another meal without hesitation
