★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE. BEST. JAPANESE. FOOD! Apologies for the caps-yelling, but I cannot emphasise enough how delicious Peko-Peko is! If you've never been to Japan and want to know how deliciously those folks eat, or if you have been to Japan and miss the gorgeous cuisine (we certainly do!), Peko-Peko is unpretentious, healthy, and yet elegant in its flavours and presentation.
Of course, get your favourites like chicken katsu, umami-bombs of karaage, and the most perfect Japanese omelette you'll find outside of Honshu!
Delicious, healthy, AND quality food at affordable prices?! Guess who'll be making more trips to Hobsonville?

Food was AMAZING: I had the tempura veges, and they themselves tasted really nice, with side dishes having delicious but different from each other flavours, and it was just enough food + 1 side dish to fill me up comfortably. Staff and customer service was OUTSTANDING. They would replace things if they emptied, or if chopsticks were dropped, and they were eager to talk with us about Japan and how we all miss it, and it was an overall very welcoming experience
To top it off, after it being my birthday was in a conversation, they gave me a slice of cake free of charge when I wasn't expecting anything.
The only problem I have is the decoration, however that should NOT be what you're bogged up on, and it is no where near enough to stray the rating from 5 stars
I cannot recommend this place enough
