About Penrose Central NZ Post
Delays
- Due to adverse weather conditions, there are delays to some Economy parcels sent on Inter Island ferries between the North and South Islands.
- Road closures on the East Coast of the North Island, northern parts of the South Island, and lower South Island are causing delivery delays in these areas. We are using alternate routes wherever possible.
Delays to Parcels:
- In the North Island, there are delivery delays for parcels of up to 2 days in Hamilton/Waikato, Bay of Plenty and East Coast areas.
- In the South Island there are delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days, in South Canterbury, West Coast, Central Otago and the Lower South Island.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a post office that refuses to take parcels with stamps on. the manager wanted us to pay a second time and get a credit for the stamps already on the parcel - What The ??? And this is supposed to represent NZ POST face it franchising the Post Office just does not work

I paid $71 for an expedite document courier to India. The guy at the counter only stick the custom form on the receiver details on the envelope when thats meant to be filled with receivers details. He didn't even gave me the envelope back to fill in the senders details. Not at all cooperative and doesn't even consider the importance of the documents, the proper process in putting all the required details. Absolutely shocking service

If you have a PO Box there, good luck getting your parcels. We have had numerous parcels go missing from with branch despite having tracking saying they are there. Despite the inconvenience we are moving.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only put 1 star so I could post. Should be A DON'T USE THIS POST OFFICE There is absolutely no customer service at this Post Office. The owner went off his head when I asked for a receipt for a courier post parcel (every other Post Office I go into gives these to me). He refused to accept the parcel. So off I went to another Post Office shaking my head never to return. Hey it wasn't a big ask and no other agency or Post Office has a problem issuing receipts. This happened four weeks ago went again today and push repeat. I was greeted by a security guard at the door, when he saw me in the line he asked the security guard to remove me and again wouldn't accept my parcel. A Courier Post agency where you can't drop off a courier post parcel...??????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With the new management it is excellent service. They also have a superette now so make sure you use this post iffice and also grab some food and drink on the go.
Hope more people give them good reviews as the new manager is friendly and so welcoming.
