★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1 hour short and easy walk along the Kawarau river. Such a lovely track! I wasn’t able to find any picture or information I wonder why. I certainely recommend you to go! You will hear river sound and the water colour is beautiful blue-green and I saw many rabbits and a tiny cute lizard! You will see many birds as well. You will look down over Muddy Creek and there is a bench you can fully enjoy the river and sceinery.
The road is so narrow and there are many dropoff so not proper for kids or pets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peregrine Loop is a good track for family. You will find: flowers, plants, bushes. You will see the power of Kawaru River. The river flows rapidly and you can watch it from above like a bird. If you allow yourself to rest, there are benches on the edge of the side. Sun rays on the Kawaru River bring out its turquoise and emerald colors.
In the end of the walk we tasted the wines and relax near the winery.
