Great day on the boat! Staff were very helpful and had a lot of knowledge about Poor Knights. A well organized day. Wonderful views of the sealife... totally recommend !

I visited these guys when I stopped by at Tutukaka Marina during my Northland trip. In a casual conversation with Briar Mortensen near the boats, I got to know about the exciting Snorkeling and Scuba diving experience they provide. They convinced that it would be fun and they would take care of everything even if we don’t know to swim. I was so excited (I don’t swim!), that I finished my Northland trip and returned to them after new year for some adventure and decided to Snorkel for the first time in my life! The boat left for the Poor Knights Island with an amazing crew. I was given my diving suit. It was a 45-50 mins ride to the island. Got to hear some amazing stories about the island on my way. We reached the spot. The water was greenish blue! I was given life jacket and noodle to help me in water as I don’t swim. Maria helped me get into water. And then Danika who is very kind, polite and patient, took me on a snorkeling trip. We went around everywhere in water sightseeing colourful fishes, ocean bed and weeds of every green shade. We went inside the cave also. It was amazingly beautiful! We had buffet lunch on boat. There were soups and drinks too. With the crew’s proper guidance, I went kayaking too, that was my first kayaking! I went on a snorkeling trip for the second time with Connor. The boat left further to the world’s largest sea cave. We made some music there which was fun! And headed further to see few hole in the rocks before returning to Tutukaka Marina. It was a fun day! The experience I had snorkeling is indescribable! I must say, the crew at Perfect Day has some amazing customer service skills with a smile and is extremely friendly! ”Thank you very much Briar, Maria, Danika and Connor” :) I am arranging to learn some swimming before returning to them for some Scuba diving in my next trip! Would highly recommend! Cheers

Fantastic Experience! This was our second time with Perfect Day, having first gone about 6 years ago. We enjoyed the time so much we booked again with them on Easter 2021, when we were on holiday up north again. The 40 minute trip to the island(s) can be a little rocky, so if you're prone to seasickness, have meds on hand. Once at the island the fun begins. For a little over 2 hours you can snorkel, kayak, SUP, swim, have a wonderful catered lunch and just enjoy a beautiful day anchored at one of the world's most amazing marine sanctuaries. The boat is designed for easy access into and out of the water, the staff are there to help people of all abilities, and there is even the opportunity to rinse off in a private hot shower afterwards. The staff are plentiful, helpful, and take care of all your needs: equipment, special meal needs, advice, even checking in on you throughout the trip to make sure you've got all you need. After the fun at anchor, there is a nice tour through some amazing natural features of the island before heading back to port. We'll definitely go again in the future.

Incredible day on and in the water. Staff were super attentive and especially great with our young ones, good lunch spread and a really special spot if nature in NZ. Abundance of fish to see and the equipment available was a good variety. Even better than expected.

Great day, great staff but food was a MASSIVE let down. Sandwiches and instant soup for a $229 tour? That would be a 1/5... Also when i read about the boat, I thought it might be big but it wasn't very big at all. There's no competition so the prices just keep on climbing... still going to give it 4 overall but it wasn't quite the perfect day.

My first time up north and me and 2 of my best friends went on this trip. They had already been on it so it had to be good to go again! Great value, the team are great, food was great and the team were very helpful in helping people who had never swam also. A good idea to take spare clothes just incase the weather is choppy. Otherwise an amazing day for us ☺️

Pros: Lots of fish when snorkelling Beautiful scenery Skipper's awesome stories when cruising around the islands Friendly staff Cons: Food was solid (sandwiches, instant soup, fruit) but calling a buffet is maybe misleading? Scuba diving guide felt like they were on their own dive rather than guiding ours, didn't really explain or point things out to us at all

Had a fabulous day out cruising to the Poor Knight islands onboard the Perfect Day yesterday. It really was the perfect day. The weather turned it on, our skipper was informative and fun, the staff bending over backwards all day to make sure you had the best experience, plenty to help yourself to if you got hungry, thirsty etc, paddle boards, kayaks, wetsuits, snorkel gear all in good nick and included. Highly recommend taking this trip out to the spectacular Poor Knights. You won't be disappointed. Value for money!
